To help you choose the correct size of luxurious tungsten cock ring, we have designed 3D printed sizing rings, which mimic our tungsten rings in shape and size of internal diameter. They offer a great fit and finish and help you find the size that fits you perfectly.
Even though sizing rings are not meant to be worn long term, that did not mean any corners were cut on materials, design or production technology. Same as with tungsten rings we are satisfied only with the best the technology can offer. All our 3D printed sizing rings are designed in-house and made with the latest generation industrial-grade SLA 3D printers, which offer dimensional accuracy north of ± 0.01 mm.
All prints are made of body-safe cured resin with outstanding mechanical and thermal properties. Even potentially high temperatures during shipping, washing in hot water, or leaving them in a hot car during summer will not deform the rings whatsoever. The surface is smooth and pleasant to the touch, the internal diameter is accurate and the shape mimics our tungsten rings.
What is SLA 3D printing?
SLA or Stereolithography is a cutting-edge 3D printing technology, which has become popular for its ability to produce high-accuracy, isotropic products that are also watertight with outstanding fine detail and smooth surface finish.
Unlike other 3D printing methods, SLA 3D printing is a process where raw material is a liquid resin, which is hardened into plastic using a light source – a laser or a projector. This ensures that SLA prints have the highest resolution and accuracy, the sharpest details, and the smoothest surface finishes of all 3D printing technologies.
SLA 3D printing is used for the most demanding products. Only the most prominent jewelers on the market use SLA 3D printing for R&D, since SLA technology is much more expensive especially in comparison to more common alternatives like FDM 3D printing.
How does SLA differ from “traditional” FDM 3D printing?
FDM or Fused Deposition Modeling is the most common and the cheapest way to create 3D printed objects. FDM 3D printers melt and extrude thermoplastic filament before they are deposited layer by layer to create an object. It is used primarily for simple prints and quick prototyping.
As you can see in the picture above, there is a huge difference in detail, surface quality, and overall finish of the print when comparing FDM technology to SLA.
The most common raw material for FDM is PLA (polylactic acid). PLA is the cheapest filament on the market with one big problem – thermal properties. PLA is resistant only up to 54 °C (129 °F), after that, it starts to lose its form and slowly melts down. SLA-cured resin offers a much better thermal resistance and dimensional stability, so we can be sure rings will not get deformed during shipping.
