Introducing another extremely unique design for a cock ring – Opalus. With this one, we thought out of the box and decided to make an extremely wide inlay from a material we never used before – opal. The results are simply stunning.
The basic idea of Himeros Opalus cock ring was born when we were brainstorming how to create a special cock ring, that will still represent the core idea of Himeros – luxury and quality without any compromises. After multiple iterations and a lot of research on different potential inlay materials, opal emerged as a clear winner. Crushed opal has a very distinct quality – because it is made from millions of tiny little opal crystals it reflects the light, changes colour, and has a look of »depth« to it. The play of reflecting light and myriad different shades of colours we only discovered after observing the crystals from different angles, gave us an idea. Let's make the largest inlay possible, to showcase the beauty of opal in all its glory.
Before we even started with the production the first challenges arose. Opal is very expensive, especially in large quantities that a wide and deep inlay requires. We decided to stay true to ourselves – no compromises whatsoever when it comes to the quality of a final product. To keep the cost in check, we decided to make only a few pieces of the ring and then gradually build stock over time, when we can optimize everything. We are so happy to say, we succeeded!
Opalus is a magnificent cock ring! The widest inlay of them all is filled with crushed emerald opal that glitters like magic in the sun. Opalus means »precious stone« in Latin. Opal gems were believed to be the tears of Zeus when he finally defeated his father Cronus. Opal is a highly absorbent and reflective stone - therefore it was also believed it will pick up on your thoughts and emotions, magnify them, and send them back to you. It is a material fitting to be worn around your most precious parts. Amplifying your lust, desire, sexuality, and stamina.
Observing the ring in direct sunlight, where the light can penetrate and reach the deepest crystals feels like magic – each angle reveals a different colour. Sometimes you can even spot some firey and gold details! Stunning! Emerald is also such a great fit with the natural colour of tungsten carbide. All the surfaces are therefore mirror-polished. The inner ErgoFit curvature has a special ergonomic shape to help with long-term comfort. We just feel that this design is really something unique and well worth the risk and work invested to make it happen.
To make matters even better, Opalus stacks beautifully with Athos and Chronos. For those who want to feel the extra weight of tungsten carbide and opal, this 0.4 kg (0.9 pounds) combination will feel like magic.
